Respected veteran coach was told toward the end of the school year he would not be back as head boys basketball coach and athletic director

Gipson-Shields will join Bob Jones' Jamarcus Jones at Pulaski-based NAIA school.

Trio includes Albertville's Riley Norris, Dallas County's William Lee and Wenonah's Justin Coleman. None of the three have committed to a college.

Doss, who's won seven state titles in his career, had retired after 29 seasons at Butler approximately three weeks ago. The former Hayes coach was approved as the next coach at J.O. Johnson today.
